The Best Property Podcasts to listen to in 2023

Before we go any further, these podcasts hosts are not selling you their “once-in-a-lifetime-deal” or all that crap that comes with content monetisation. Simply put these podcasts are learning resources on the go. I’ve relied on some of these when structuring my own deals (simulated and actual) and future plans.

The list is small, top quality and property focused. I’ll add a few honorary mentions at the end of the post later in time to give you some broader topic podcasts as well as podcasts that deserve a chance during your you time. Each podcast mention will have a link embedded in the title that will take you to the channel via an app I use, PocketCasts. Feel free to simply search within your usual app. Here we go!

  1. The Private Property Podcast

Honestly speaking, I do not see a day the private property podcast does not top the list for property podcasts close to home. The podcast is domiciled in South Africa and tackles property issues at the heart of every transaction, hold and sale. My property degree became a walk in the park once I subscribed with these guys.

If you want to be a tad more active in your learning. The Private Property Podcast also has has a live on Facebook, from which most of the podcasts are drawn. The show is live Monday through Friday at 7pm. Perfect for those late work nights or early night relaxation moments.

The Private Property Podcast has 393 episodes and counting, tackling issues in buying, selling, investing, managing and more within the property game. Confusing concepts such as Occupational Rent and Unsellable (haunted) homes. This podcast has been a hack in my varsity journey and really gives me the overview on property trends as we go. lol I do hope they get a current trends segment to explore interest rate changes and all that. If you’re going to take any advice from me it’s this, subscribe to this podcast.

A Kenyan podcast that finds home in your living room. Café Construct explores a variety of aspects in the built industry from studying abroad, getting your first job in industry to starting your construction company or plant operation.

The list making trait for this podcast is pure diversity. The podcast never feels like it’s closed to civil engineers or urban planners but open to the built industry as a whole.
